About Angela McIver

Angela McIver, the Chief Executive Officer of the Fair Housing Rights Center in Southeastern Pennsylvania, is a national leader and advocate for Fair Housing for all. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Pennsylvania State University. She also earned a Master of Social Services and a Master of Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College. In January of 2021, she completed training to become a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant. She enjoys a host of family, friends, and the arts. Ms. McIver is a member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and on the board of the National Fair Housing Alliance. In 2019, she was designated the National Housing Fellow under Strong Families Commission. Ms. McIver can be found delivering housing commentary on radio shows -Turning Life Corners on WPPM 106.5 FM, KYW News radio, WHYY-FM 90.9, WITF/WURD 900 AM, WWDB 96.5 FM, NBC10, Praise 107.9 FM, PBS News Hour, and others. She has produced the two-time award-winning independent film, Life Isn’t Fair, and in 2018, she created and released an independent docuseries entitled, Memoir of a Home: Meet the Browns, a short biography featuring residents and a historical account of their address and community. In 2014, she was the recipient of the Willow Grove Branch of the NAACP Humanitarian Award for Community Service. Currently, Angela is studying Trauma that will help develop a national educational program for fair housing advocates.
